November 18, 2008 – PMD[vision] Day 2008: Review

 

This series of conferences was successfully launched in 2007. And the 2008 PMD[vision] Day was even better. Almost 200 participants from all over the world traveled to Munich to find out about the latest innovations and developments in the world of cutting-edge 3D-ToF technology.

10 lectures by international experts provided the audience with excellent insight into future trends. And a range of applications using PMD technology were showcased in exciting live demonstrations.

In addition, the new PMD[vision]® CamCube with 204x204 pixels was unveiled. What’s more, a car developed by ifm electronics which leveraged illumination and camera innovations (2D/3D-PMD combination) fascinated the audience. And an impressive interaction demonstration by Softkinetic (see also "Cooperation with Softkinetic") was also a big hit.
